Hansford Sensors was founded in 2006, with our core philosophy to work closely with customers to provide reliable, cost-effective, quality products with unrivalled before and after sales service. Manufactured in the UK, Hansford Sensors high-quality vibration monitoring products are used globally by the world’s leading companies. Check out some of our key milestones listed below:

2006

Hansford Sensors was founded by Chris Hansford. Operating in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire.

2007

Launched the range of ATEX certified HS-100I Intrinsically Safe Vibration Sensors.

2008

4-20mA Vibration Transmitters were introduced to the product range.

2009

Moved to a bigger premises at Sands Industrial Estate in High Wycombe, with a team of 20 people.

2009

Set up Hansford Sensors in Krakow, Poland to provide a better service to countries in Eastern Europe.

2010

Vibration Meter Kits HS-620 and HS-630 launched.

2011

First sponsored racing driver Tom Ingram.

2011

Introduced Dual Output Sensors and Sensors Modules to the market.

2012

HS-105 High Temperature Accelerometers added to the product portfolio.

2013

Development and design of the HS-150 Shear Accelerometer series.

2014

Opened a new office in India, which further strengthened our position in the Asian manufacturing market.

2015

Office opened in Germany in response to the increasing demand for vibration monitoring solutions in the region.

2015

Introduced Switch Enclosures with PCB panel mounting board.

2016

Celebrated 10 years at the forefront of vibration monitoring.

2017

Released HS-173R Triaxial Accelerometer. Capable of providing simultaneous measurement in three axes.

2017

Won International Trader of the Year and Growth Business of the Year at Buckinghamshire Business Awards.

2018

Expanded presence in the US, opened a dedicated sales operation.

2018

Added HS-150I, HS-170I and HS-173I Intrinsically Safe Accelerometers to the product range.

2019

Launched the HS-180S Compact Shear Accelerometers, enabling installation in areas with limited access.

2020

Introduced Over-moulded Cable Assemblies with Stainless Steel conduit, available with FEP or HFFR cable.

2021

Achieved 100,000 sensors in this year.

2021

HS-421I and HS-423I added to the range of Intrinsically Safe 4-20mA Transmitters.

2022

Tom Ingram wins the British Touring Car Championship.

2023

Our office and production facility almost doubled by 2023.

2024

Receiving the King’s Award for International Trade 2024.
