Hansford Sensors sponsored driver leads the way!

Hansford Sensors’ sponsored Ginetta G55 driver Tom Ingram has had great success in the Ginetta GT SuperCup 2013, and it’s only half way through the season!  Tom, admittedly, had a less than perfect start to the championship at the first race in Brands Hatch back in March, finishing 5th and 4th in the first two races, but stormed through to take 1st place in the final race of the event.

The following month Tom was consistent, with a 2nd place finish in all three races at Donington Park placing him in the championship lead by 15 points.

Next stop Thruxton, where a tense and exciting race saw Tom take and hold the lead in the final event to win. Tom said of the race, “It was probably the best win I’ve ever had, in all honesty. I really had to fight hard for it.  In the past, we’ve never had the funds to risk the car or try moves like that due to fear of damage, so I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my sponsors, including Hansford Sensors, for giving me that chance now and allowing me to really race for victory.”

Having more than doubled his lead from 15 points to 32, Tom moved on to the race at Oulton Park in early June, where he finished 2nd in each race, furthering his advantage to an impressive 49 points.  Fast forward to the most recent race at Croft in Yorkshire, Tom saw off all competition by finishing 1st in each of the three races.

So, at half way through the season Tom is sitting securely at the top of the championship with a staggering 102 point advantage over his rivals. The SuperCup continues in early August at Snetterton.
