Green racing team in the final

Following an exciting weekend of racing at Aintree, Hansford Sensors sponsored Formula 24 team Power Pak has progressed from the qualification heats into the final.

Organised by charitable education trust Greenpower for the purpose of inspiring more young people to become engineers, Formula 24 is a unique form of motor racing whereby teams of students aged between 9 and 25 build and race their own electric powered race cars. The teams design, test and race their own cars, which all have the same motor and one pair of 12 volt batteries per race.

Power Pak, which is made up of an enthusiastic team of students from Hilbre High School in Merseyside, received a wild card entry to compete in the International Final. The team will be working hard prior to the final as it looks to make improvements to its car and become more competitive.

The final will be a two day event taking place on 10-11 October 2015 at the world famous Rockingham Motor Speedway. We wish the Power Pak team the very best of luck!
